Molde hosts HJK at the Aker Stadion in a second leg from the Champions League qualifiers. Let’s see what we can tell you about it in our betting on underdogs in football matches guide.
Finland’s HJK got an important advantage after a 1-0 win in the first leg in Helsinki. But it’s not guaranteeing them a progress, of course – they have to play the second leg as well. Now the Norwegians have the advantage to play at home, but let’s see how they are going to use it.
The first leg in Helsinki was intense, but the home side managed to score a winning goal. This happened in the 25th minute when Topi Keskinen scored the winning goal after an assist from Atomu Tanaka. In the second half Molde tried to attack in a more aggressive way, but HJK’s defense played well and kept the team’s advantage.
Molde warmed up for the second leg with a win. Erling Moe’s team paid a visit to Stabaek in the Eliteserien and celebrated a 1-0 win. Veton Berisha scored the winner after a penalty kick in the 62th minute. It was Berisha’s second goal in the league for the season. Surely the 29-years old striker can do much better than this. Let’s see if he’s going to help Molde in the decisive second match against HJK.
Meanwhile HJK also achieved a win in their last game in the Finnish league. The champions paid a visit to SJK and it wasn’t easy, but they secured a 2-1 win. The hosts scored first, but in the second half HJK turned the game around with goals from Radulovic and Olusanya.
The Serbian striker Bojan Radulovic is one of the most important and dangerous players in HJK’s squad. So far he has scored 11 goals in the Finnish league since the start of the season.
That’s our betting on underdogs in football matches guide for the upcoming Champions League clash between Molde and HJK. Good luck!
