Liverpool hosts AFC Bournemouth at the Anfield in a match from the second round of the Premier League. Let’s see what we can tell you about it in our soccer match analysis and predictions.
After a 1-1 draw against Chelsea in the opening round, Liverpool are now looking for a first win for the season. Luis Diaz opened the score at the Stamford Bridge, but Jurgen Klopp’s boys were unable to hold their lead. Still, it was a good result against one of the strongest teams in the league away from home.
Let’s see if Klopp will make changes to his line-up against the Cherries. He experimented with Cody Gakpo in midfield against Chelsea, but it didn’t go very well. Now Gakpo could return in attack while Darwin Nunez could start as well – the Uruguayan striker was benched against Chelsea, but came in during the second half.
The new signing Alexis Mac Allister made terrific impression against Chelsea last week. The Argentine international showed why he was signed by Jurgen Klopp. The world champion won a lot of duels in midfield and most probably he will be very important for the team.
Just like Liverpool, Bournemouth started their season with a draw. Andoni Iraola’s team faced West Ham in the first round and it ended with a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium. The Hammers scored first, but Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke scored a late equaliser in the 82th minute.
Bournemouth are aware that survival won’t be easy this season. They are among the newcomers in the league which makes them favorites for relegation. But let’s see if Iraola’s team is ready for something better. We won’t be surprised to see them doing well.
That’s the soccer match analysis and predictions for the Premier League clash between Liverpool and AFC Bournemouth. The Reds are surely favorites at the Anfield, but let’s see.
